Phil's Quills uses Paypal's online Merchant system to process payments. Paypal is an internationally known company with millions of users world wide. Paypal's uses encryption and other technologies to ensure your credit card information is safe and secure.
To order items at Phil's Quills, locate the first item you would like to purchase and then click on the 
button to add the item to your shopping cart. When you have completed shopping and you are ready to check out and complete your purchase, click on the 
button. You will be brought to Paypal's secure servers to complete your purchase.
If your encounter this message "Error detected. This invoice has already been paid. For more information, please contact the merchant" in the shopping cart area, it means that the item you have added to your shopping cart has already been purchased by someone else. If this is the case and you are still interested in the particular item please email us - we can make a similar item quickly for you.
Please note that you do not need to have a PayPal account to make purchases at Phils Quills. When you reach the PayPal screen look for the section marked "Don't have a PayPal Account?" and follow the links there to process your payment.
Shipping
We ship all orders within 1 business day of purchase whenever possible. Purchases are shipped Priority Mail.
Rates are as follows:
Up to $50 total purchase, shipping is $4.50
$50 to $100 total purchase, shipping is $5.50
$100 to $200 total purchase, shipping is $6.50
Over $200 total purchase, shipping is $7.50
Note: the shipping rates above are for shipping to the lower 48 US states. For a shipping quote to other destinations please drop us an email with your address and we will reply with a shipping quote.
Sales Tax
Since Phil's Quills is located in the state of Maine we are required to charge sales tax for all sales made within Maine, meaning the shipped to destination is a Maine address. During the checkout process, sales tax will be automatically added to your order if you have entered a Maine shipping address. The tax rate is 5% of purchase price (shipping is not taxed).
