My father, Philip Allen, was a true hero and an inspiration in my life.  He gave his time, love, and talents to so many people with only one expectation for a return, an open mind.  His quest for knowledge, spiritual growth, and an understanding to the meaning of why we are all here extended into everything he did.  I was only starting to really understand his philosophies when his life tragically ended in a bicycling accident.  

My father and I spent a lot of time brainstorming for business ideas related to woodworking.  We never were able to come up with a focused idea though.  The thought to make unique high quality fine pens out of specialty wood popped into my brain only recently and I have jumped in head first.  Pen making is an exciting and fulfilling art, and my father would be proud of my work.  And so, in memory of my father's inspiration and faith in me, I dedicate my pens to him and name them: "Phil's Quills".
